Review : Nokia 520 Windows-Based Smartphone

Nokia 520 is a windows-based smartphone and has been officially released last year, 2013 at MWC aka Mobile World Congress 2013. In the same year, Nokia 520 has also been announced as the best-selling Windows smartphone in the world where there are 12 millions activations around the world.


The Nokia 520 comes with Dual core 1.0 GHz (Qualcomm 8227) processor that make user can run several applications in the same time including for gaming, photography or other apps. This smartphone has very good design and sold at an affordable price.

It has 4.0 inches screen size with a resolution of 800x480., With this screen size, user will be satisfied while enjoying the content presented on the screen (for photos, videos, documents, SMS and much more) and its touch screen features is made easy for navigation. The phone is also easy to carry wherever you go, you can put it into your bag and the good news is, this phone's screen is also coated with scratch-resistant material meanwhile for photography, This smartphone is also equipped with 5MP of Main camera but unfortunately, users can't find front camera.

As we already know, Windows Phone 8 has its own interface, users can easily set up notifications from various applications that are displayed on the main screen even if the screen is locked.

To support the performance and apps that was installed in this smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 520 is equipped with a lithium ion battery with a capacity of 1430 mAh. With this battery, the phone can turn on (standby) up to 3 days. However, if the phone is active for calls, sms, Internet or games, the battery can only last about 24 hours

To complement the standard features of Windows Phone 8, users can download thousands of apps for free in the Nokia Collection on App Store and Highlights. Other apps in this great smartphone Including Panorama, Smart shoot, Cinemagraph and Photo studios to support the camera.

If you loved traveling and need a travel guide, you can also use features like Here Drive and Maps HERE. With these two applications, the map will be displayed in 2D or 3D.

In terms of connectivity, this phone comes with Wifi, HSDPA/HSUPA where the Internet speed can reach 21.1 Mbps (for download) and 5.76 Mbps (for upload). Bluetooth feature that allow user to transfer musics or data between is also included in this phone.
